
MoonDisc™ is a circular stone installation aligned with the lunar cycle, designed to mark the changing phases of the Moon across the year.
It is located at the upper reaches of Stoner Wood.
What Is MoonDisc™
MoonDisc™ consists of:
A circular stone disc, approximately four metres in diameter
A subtly engraved lunar surface map at its centre
Markers indicating the principal lunar phases
Stone seating positioned for observation
The installation is designed to provide space for contemplation. It is intended to facilitate awareness of lunar cycles. It provides an opportunity for gathering.

MoonDisc™ reflects humanity's long-standing interest in the Moon, its cycles, and its perceived influence.

The Howling Platform
Adjacent to MoonDisc™ is the Howling Platform — a raised stone structure intended for vocal expression, sound-based engagement, and lunar response.
Use of the platform is optional but encouraged.
The platform provides:
A designated space for howling
An elevated position for calling or vocalisation
Clear sightlines for participants and observers
Most frequently used:
During full moons
At dusk
When moved to do so

MoonDisc™ and the Howling Platform form part of the wider Stoner Wood landscape and should be experienced as such.
Visitors are encouraged to approach on foot.
MoonDisc™ does not explain the Moon.
It simply exists within Stoner Wood.
